Balenqui began in 2016 when our family decided to transform a quiet patch of land near Loughrea in County Galway into a working flower farm. What started with a handful of sweet pea seeds and a dream has grown into over three acres of cultivated blooms, spanning more than 80 varieties of flowers throughout the growing season.
We grow everything using sustainable methods that work with the natural rhythms of the Irish climate. Our soil is never treated with synthetic chemicals, and we rely on companion planting, crop rotation, and careful hand-weeding to keep our beds healthy. Every stem is cut by hand in the early morning hours, ensuring the freshest possible blooms reach your doorstep or your special occasion.
From spring daffodils and tulips through summer dahlias and roses to autumn chrysanthemums and winter hellebores, our fields tell the story of each season. We believe that locally grown, seasonal flowers carry a beauty and fragrance that imported blooms simply cannot match.

We begin with a complimentary consultation at our farm, where you can walk the beds and see what will be blooming around your wedding date. Many of our couples find inspiration in the fields themselves, choosing colours and textures they never would have considered from a catalogue. We also source select stems from trusted Irish growers to ensure the fullest possible palette for your day.
